Use direct booking for predictable visits
Consultations, standard appointments and clearly defined services can suit a calendar. Customers need accurate duration, availability and preparation information. Add buffers where travel or setup makes back-to-back slots unrealistic.
Use requests when the job needs assessment
A roof replacement, complex repair or unusual trip may need a quote before a time is confirmed. Collect the initial details and let a person check fit. Label the action as a request rather than a confirmed booking.
Connect the working calendar
Check staff calendars, time zones, cancellations, rescheduling and notifications. Test a conflict and a changed appointment. A calendar that looks available but does not match the team’s actual schedule creates more work.
Keep an alternative contact route
Some customers will have questions before choosing a slot. Keep the inquiry route clear and explain how the team will respond. Booking should remove unnecessary exchanges, not force every customer into the same process.
